ABOUT CARRIE

NOW SERVING LAS VEGAS AREA too!

My love for the fantastical image was born years ago when I worked in advertising as an art director. The memorability and provocative power I seeded in brands translated seamlessly to my conceptual style of photography. Every photograph captures an entirely unique narrative. The story may begin with a set (love an elaborate set) or a particularly inspiring locale. The discovery of bold architecture, angles begging for the perfect transfusion of daring light, is as gratifying as standing behind the lens. In the end, my photography is characterized by distinctive layering and composition both highly stylized and highly unforgettable. My work can be found in: Modern Luxury Scottsdale Magazine, Institute Magazine UK, Phoenix Magazine, Phoenix Home + Garden, Obscurae Magazine and Veux Magazine Canada.

When I’m not taking photos, I’m traveling (and still taking photos) somewhere either close to home or far away. I’ve recently grown to love the adventure and beauty of Central and South America, particularly Colombia, Guatemala and the Nicaraguan island of Little Corn. And if I had to choose a favorite city London would be it. It’s easy to explore, I love the gloomy skies and it’s the birthplace of some of my favorite 80s bands.

I am also scuba diver and recently got out of my comfort zone and started diving the underwater caves aka the cenotes of the Yucatán in Mexico. It’s like floating through a medieval cathedral. You have to try it to fully understand. It definitely is a place that slows down time which is why I keep going back.
